Welcome to my Studio

Hi, I’m Jess!

I am an illustrator, maker and overgrown hobbit living in the beautiful West Coast of British Columbia on the traditional, unceded lands of the Semá:th First Nation and Máthxwi First Nation.

Inspired by both the wonders of the natural world, and the tiny pockets of joy found in everyday moments, I create paintings and illustrations in watercolour and gouache, and explore many other mediums of art and craft to capture the magic and beauty of a simple life.

I work from a small home studio, and when I’m not creating anthropomophic animals in whimsical clothing, or botanical portraits of beloved pets and people, you can usually find me either puttering in the garden, curled up with a book and Earl Grey tea, or exploring with my wildschooling family and sweet, but mischievous dog, Fergus.

It is important to me to create with minimal impact on the planet, and I aim to use the most sustainable products for printing and packaging.
